The purpose behind
IndiaFEST is to create a cultural awareness of India and its people to
the South Florida community. PBIA uses IndiaFEST to introduce the vast
cuisine, costumes, sounds and dances of everyday India. To help educate
the community of India’s beauty, PBIA will have dances along with
classical music performances representing the different regions of
India. There will also be various food, clothing, arts, crafts, and
musical instruments on display.
IndiaFEST 2009 had an attendance of over 10,000 people with
extensive print and media coverage. PBIA is expecting about 15,000
people to attend this year.
